installing with a solid fuel fire

We can manufacture most of our marble fireplaces to suit solid fuel fires. We highly recommend seeking a Hetas Certified engineer to carry out any installations or inspections when using solid fuel.

installing with an electric fire

All of our marble fireplaces are suitable for use with an electric fire. The vast majority of electric fires run out into a standard 3 pin plug and whilst you do not require any specialist fitter to install, it may be a good idea if you haven't undertaken similar projects before.

Find below a map of areas with the locations of local fireplace fitters. Give us a call on 0121 773 8833 or send us an e-mail to mick@marblefireplace.co.uk and we can arrange for your local fitter to contact you regarding a survey.

FAQ Gas Fires

Product FAQ

Here we aim to answer any questions you may have about this product or other similar products.

Will the Gas Fire fit into the fireplace?

Yes, we will always check and cut the hole in the Marble Fireplace's back panel to the Gas Fire in.

What's the difference between Glass and Open Fronted Gas Fires?

Open fronted fires generally cost less than a similar glass fronted fire. So it's a good option if you have a central heating system and you are looking for more of a decorative fire that gives boosts of heat when needed. However some are now available with up to 70% efficiency.

Glass fronted fires are slightly more expensive to buy at first but are much more efficient (75% – 95%) with higher heat outputs. If you use the fire a lot you can save your money back in the lower running costs and they can be used as an excellent source of heating.

Which kind of Gas Fire can I have?

The type of chimney or flue you have usually dictates your choice of fire. The description section of each fire includes the the suitability of each fire. If you are in doubt, contact us on 0121 773 8833 and we can help you.
