To maintain my high standard of quality I do not use chinese marble. All of my marble fireplaces are manufactured at my workshops in Birmingham using marble sourced from Spain and Italy.

"I found Designer Fireplaces by accident after being unable to source a fireplace locally which really appealed to me. I read the previous reviews and thought I would travel up to Birmingham to see for myself what they were all about. Definatly not a wasted journey. Excellent staff, very helpful and a lovely showroom. I wanted my fireplace bigger than standard and Mick and his staff were more than helpful with advice on what would look best and how to make the measurements all balance. Fireplace and fire were delivered to my home in Swindon and I had an independant fitter install it all for me. To say I am pleased with the fireplace is an understatement. It is really fabulous and looks stunning. Total value for money, first class customer service and I would recommend anybody to use Designer Fireplaces. Many thanks to Mick and all his staff."

"I looked for a fireplace for months before seeing the Walton on the Internet. I was a bit apprehensive about ordering off the net as I like to see things before I buy. I also had already purchased a fire which was bigger than the standard hole in the surround which made things a bit confusing. However, after speaking to mick I was reassured they could cut the hole to fit my fire. Within 2 weeks as promised the fireplace arrived on the correct date at the correct time by a very friendly man. The fire and surround have now been fitted and it looks fabulous, I am really pleased with the service, delivery and my fireplace."

"Recently bought the Walton fireplace and it looks very classy (well we think so). Very good value for money, delivered very carefully by the driver. It was interesting that we didn't have to pay in advance and gave the driver a cheque, after we viewed and checked the fireplace. Would definitely recommend buying a fireplace from here."
